RECOGNITION AFTER RECOGNITION

The Local Government Unit of Alangalang marked a significant achievement after earning three major distinctions during RAYHAK 2025 held last January 27, 2026 at the People’s Center, Tacloban City, highlighting Alangalang’s strong performance in local governance and public service delivery. The awards were formally conferred by DILG Undersecretary Marlo Iringan and Regional Director Arnel Agabe, and were personally received by Mayor Lovely Yu-Castro, together with Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Glenn Amon. Alangalang was recognized for its High Functional Peace and Order Council (POC) 2024 and Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) 2025, reflecting the local government’s sustained efforts in maintaining peace, order, and a proactive anti-illegal drugs campaign. Capping the achievement, the municipality also bagged the highly coveted Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award, regarded as the highest recognition for excellence in local governance. On a Facebook post, Mayor Yu-Castro penned words of gratitude to LGU Alangalang employees, barangay officials, partners, and stakeholders for their dedication and efforts in delivering excellence in public service. “Damo po nga Salamat ha tanan!
