IN PHOTOS: Mayor Lovely Yu-Castro convened the members of the Joint Inspection Team yesterday at the Executive Room, Office of the Municipal Mayor, in preparation for a series of inspections to be conducted in various business establishments throughout the Municipality of Alangalang.

The inspection will focus particularly on establishments operating without valid business permits, as part of the local government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regulatory compliance and promote responsible business operations. In line with this initiative, Mayor Yu-Castro also announced plans to invite all vendors operating along the national highway to an open and constructive dialogue. The discussion aims to address concerns on traffic congestion while finding balanced solutions that will ensure the smooth flow of vehicles without compromising the livelihood of local vendors. She emphasized that economic growth and public order must go hand in hand, underscoring the importance of cooperation between the local government and the business sector. Furthermore, business owners engaged in leasing-related activities will be encouraged to settle the appropriate fees in accordance with existing ordinances. These establishments, along with other businesses, will be thoroughly inspected by the Joint Inspection Team to ensure compliance with municipal regulations. The overarching objective of these initiatives is to enhance the municipality’s revenue collection for the year. Increased revenue will enable the local government to implement more programs, projects, and activities geared toward improving public services and promoting the general welfare of all Alangalanganons.
