The Local Government Unit of Alangalang underwent a Mock Assessment

The Local Government Unit of Alangalang underwent a Mock Assessment, yesterday at the Executive Room, Office of the Municipal Mayor, conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Alangalang in preparation for the Regional Local Governance Champions (RLGC) Assessment on September 1, 2026.

The activity focused on reviewing the LGU’s compliance with RLGC requirements, validating supporting documents, and identifying areas that may require further action prior to the scheduled assessment.

Mayor Lovely Yu-Castro expressed her full support for the preparatory efforts, emphasizing the LGU’s commitment to strengthening governance performance, ensuring compliance, and continuously improving the delivery of public service.

The mock assessment was conducted by MLGOO Glenn O. Amon, LGOO II Josie Mae B. Elvina, and LGOO II Lyka Mae L. Taboso, with the participation of concerned department heads and personnel overseeing the respective governance areas.

Beyond compliance, the activity provided the LGU an opportunity to assess its current practices, address identified gaps, and strengthen coordination with DILG as it moves closer to the RLGC Assessment.
