The Fiery Phoenix, Area I’s powerhouse delegation, proudly paid a courtesy call to Mayor Lovely Yu-Castro after emerging as First Runner-up at the Leyte Provincial Meet 2025 held in Kananga, Leyte. The team dominated the competition, securing most of the gold medals and earning the honor of representing the province in the EVRAA 2025.

During the visit, the student-athletes personally expressed their gratitude to Mayor Yu-Castro for her invaluable and unwavering support throughout their preparation and participation in the provincial meet. Mayor Yu-Castro, in return, congratulated the athletes for their exceptional performance, describing the victory as a momentous milestone especially after several years of not qualifying for the regional level.
