STRATEGIC MEETING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM

The Local Government Unit of Alangalang has successfully qualified for the Second Tourism Champions Challenge after passing the Regional Tourism Champions Challenge Committee (RTCCC) evaluation in December 2025. The municipality now advances to the national level, where it will present its flagship proposal, “Langit Peatland Eco-Cultural Tourism and Learning Hub,” before the National Tourism Champions Challenge Committee. The proposed project seeks to secure a ₱15 million grant from the Department of Tourism to develop Alangalang’s peatland areas into a hub for agri-ecotourism, environmental conservation, and cultural education.
