“IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME.” Mayor Lovely Yu-Castro shared an inspiring message during the 51st Commencement Exercises of the Visayas State University-Alangalang Campus yesterday at the VSU-AC Gymnasium. Despite her demanding schedule, Mayor Yu-Castro took time to grace the 51st Commencement Exercises of the Visayas State University-Alangalang Campus and delivered an uplifting and heartfelt address, honoring each of the 354 graduates for their perseverance, commitment, and dedication. “Congratulations because you have reached this day, this is a culmination of all the hardwork, of all the dedication, of all the perseverance that you have given.” Mayor Yu-Castro started her message. Mayor Yu-Castro, who also happens to be the President of JCI Alangalang Chapter, personally awarded the JCI Youth Leadership Excellence Award to one of its members, Mr. Rodolfo Reli, Jr., a Cum Laude from the Bachelor of Elementary Education. Mayor Yu-Castro ended her message with a powerful reminder, “If it is to be, it is up to me,” emphasizing the message of self-determination and accountability, urging each graduate to take full control of their destiny and strive to become the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow.
