Lingganay Festival Opens with Parade and Performances

ALANGALANG, LEYTE — The Lingganay Festival 2025 officially opened on June 9 with a full day of vibrant activities that brought together local leaders, performers, and residents in a celebration of unity, culture, and joy. The day began with a ceremonial program at the Lingganay Fun Park, where officials and special guests launched the festival under the theme “Patron ha Alangalang: Pasasalamat – Karisyohan para han nga Tanan.” The Opening Salvo followed with energetic performances from dancers, drumbeaters, and local artists, setting the tone for the festivities. In the morning, the Marching Band Competition showcased the musical talent and discipline of student performers from various schools. Spectators were treated to colorful displays and precision routines that highlighted the creativity of Alangalang’s youth. The day concluded with Governor’s Night, featuring cultural presentations, messages of unity from local and provincial leaders, and two crowd favorites: the Little Mr. & Ms. Alangalang Pre-Pageant and Alangalang Idol 2025, where young talents impressed with their charm and vocal skills.
