The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Council held a turn-over ceremony on May 13, 2024, at the Leyte Provincial Capitol in Palo. During the event, the Council officially handed over a digital rain gauge and an evaporating pan to LGU Alangalang MDRRMO for local weather monitoring and disaster preparedness efforts.

The digital rain gauge and evaporating pan are critical tools for improving weather data accuracy and supporting more effective flood forecasting and water management. This initiative is part of the Provincial DRRM Council’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the region’s resilience to natural disasters and ensure timely and informed decision-making.
