Celebrating Excellence: 14 Student Leaders Recognized in Alangalang

Last June 10, 2026, JCI Alangalang successfully conducted the Young Leaders Excellence Awards, recognizing 14 outstanding student leaders from the Municipality of Alangalang for their excellence, dedication, and commitment to making a difference in their schools and communities. Present during the activity were JCI Alangalang President Shernan Apurillo, PMaj Godofreed Zantua, and Local Youth Development Officer Jan Reian Niño Saavedra, who joined in celebrating the achievements and potential of our young leaders. In her message, Mayor Lovely Yu-Castro reminded everyone that each person is uniquely gifted and called to serve others. Quoting St. Augustine, she emphasized that “to lead is to love”, a powerful reminder that genuine leadership is rooted in compassion, humility, and a sincere desire to uplift others.
