17 Couples Tie the Knot in Alangalang’s Free Civil Wedding

The Local Government of Alangalang, through the Municipal Civil Registry Office, successfully officiates a Free Civil Wedding on February 20, 2025, providing 17 couples with the opportunity to formalize their union without the financial burden of a traditional wedding. This initiative reflects the municipality’s commitment to supporting couples in building their future together by ensuring a legal and meaningful ceremony at no cost. The program, which opened applications from February 6 to February 18, required couples to meet specific qualifications, including being Filipino citizens, at least 18 years old, and free from previous marriages unless legally annulled or divorced. Participating couples submitted essential documents such as a marriage license, valid IDs, Barangay clearance, Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR), pre-marriage counseling certificate, and recent photographs.
